After the success of our very own Workhaus Scary Movie Night last night, we got to thinking, what other Halloween themed films are taking place around the city?
Double, double toil and trouble; witches, ghosts and goblins brew ahead.
You’ve been warned.
Friday October 25th Dracula 8pm
Monday October 28th A Nightmare on Elm Street 8pm
Thursday October 31st The Collector 7:30pm & Saw 10pm
What Are These About?
What can I say about Dracula and A Nightmare on Elm Street that has not already been said? Honestly, if you don’t know who Dracula and Freddy Kruger are, then this Halloween season is not for you.
If you like to watch people struggle to stay alive against a sinister game of life and death than both The Collector and Saw have you covered.
Fun Fact: The Collector was originally supposed to be a prequel to the Saw franchise!
Friday October 25th & Saturday October 26th The Thing 7:30pm
Thursday October 31st Halloween 8pm
What Are These About?
The Cinesphere is bringing the cult classic Halloween film to the IMAX big screen. As I’m sure you’re all aware from last night’s showing of Halloween at our Workhaus Castle location, this is an America horror slasher film classic, that brought us our scream queen, Jamie Lee Curits, as she fought off her serial killer brother, Michael Myers.
Haven’t seen The Thing? Well, imagine being stranded in a research station in Antarctica with a shapeshifting creature picking off your team one by one. That’s The Thing in a nutshell, and trust me, the ending is a doozy.
Wednesday October 30th Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark 8pm
What Is This About?
Prepare to dive into a young girl’s terrifying stories of growing up in the small town of Mill Valley. Not only does this event have the film screening, but it also includes a Q&A with Canadian Producer and Director J. Miles Dale. You may recognize his producing work in a small little award winning film, The Shape of Water.
And when all is said and done, after you’ve sufficiently terrified yourself to death this Halloween, why not top the night off at our House of Horror Halloween Party on Thursday October 31st at 6pm?
Come to Workhaus Commerce Court decked out in your best costume and enjoy some of the best hospitality Workhaus has to offer.
