By far our most named travel destination, Montreal is one of the oldest and largest cities in Canada. The city is known for its rich culture, vibrant neighborhoods, and myriad summer festivals. The city sits 4-7 hours away from Toronto by car (traffic dependent), bus, or train. It’s also a remarkably easy destination to fly to, with roughly 1 hour spent up in the air.
There’s never a shortage of things to do in Montreal. On Mount Royal you can go hiking, rent a boat, or spend the night in a cabin by Beaver Lake. In the city you can see the incredible neighbourhoods like Chinatown, the Village, or the stunning Old Montreal historic district. You can visit museums of art, indulge in the culture and history, and then dine at one of countless restaurants.
Being so easy to get to and so rich in culture, it’s no wonder Montreal is so popular!
