In this article we take a look back at your answers from a year of Mindshare Monthly questions, and reflect on your biggest achievements from 2024.
Welcome back to Mindshare Monthly, where we ask our coworking community a question and then share the answers! In January, as we all welcomed in a new year, we asked our members what accomplishments they were most proud of from 2024. Of all the answers we received, a handful of them were common, showing that even as we all work toward different goals, our journeys are often quite similar. In this article we highlight the achievements and milestones that the Workhaus community shared with us. But first, let’s take a look back at our first year of Mindshare Monthly!
We kicked off the series in April of 2024, when we asked for book recommendations. Everything from fantasy to philosophy, from biography to self-help, and more was shared. Flip the page back to April to revisit our top 5 book recommendations.
In May, we asked about the little things in your daily routine that bring you joy. All kinds of self-care activities were shared, like afternoon naps and sunbathing, and personal rituals like meditation and yoga. We also received mentions of favourite snacks and drinks, accompanied by the activities and hobbies that help maintain a healthy work-life balance. Take a moment to relax and reflect on all the ways to find joy by revisiting these answers.
June was the month of AI! As Collision conference wrapped up its fourth year in Toronto, we let it’s AI focus inspire us. We asked about how people use AI and all sorts of resourceful and eye-opening ideas were shared. Answers fell mostly within the realms of accessibility, productivity, and creativity, but were still varied and often unexpected. Plug back into the list of ideas here, and let us know if it generates any new ones!
We collected more recommendations in July and August when we asked what people’s favourite podcasts are and where to go for the best weekend getaway. We were excited to see a diverse taste in podcasts, and also how similar weekend travel plans were. Why not go back and escape into an episode or two from our list of favorite shows? Then, escape the everyday and plan your next getaway based on these travel recommendations.
As Autumn turned to Winter and things slowed down for many of us, we had some fun sharing recipes and favourite winter activities. Then we had some fun quizzing you on corporate jargon. Before we move on, why not circle back to the suggestions for the best (and worst) corporate buzzwords.
Finally, we came back strong in January, asking you to reflect on what you were most proud of after a challenging year behind. Now we’re sharing those answers!
Once again we saw similar themes running through the answers collected, reflecting the diverse yet interconnected experiences of our coworking community. These themes centered around different challenges, but all reflected the growth, resilience and determination that carried us through 2024. Without further ado, here they are:
Most of us have set a resolution at some point or another to shed a few pounds, but following through on it is easier said than done! Many of you were proud to share that you were successful in your own weight loss journeys.

Losing any amount of weight is no small feat, and we’re so happy for our members who started or continued on health and wellness journeys in 2024! These achievements highlight your dedication and commitment to well-being. Whether your goal was to lose weight, gain weight, build muscle, or simply prioritized a healthier lifestyle, we are incredibly proud of everyone who embarked on and continued their health and wellness journeys in 2024.
Another big theme, also connected to the idea of self-improvement, was personal and professional growth. Many were proud of how this resulted in truly prioritizing what matters to them. For some, that meant their career or your family, while for others that meant their mental, emotional, or financial well-being.

These achievements reflect a commitment to self-improvement and a desire for a fulfilling life. Whether you prioritized your mental health, achieved career goals, or simply embraced personal growth, these accomplishments are a testament to your strength and dedication.
Perhaps the most poignant theme we saw was simply “making it through.” While that may be simple to say, it’s often not so simple to achieve. 2024 undoubtedly presented its challenges, and many were proud of the resilience and determination that got you through it.

Some of us overcame obstacles, persevered through difficult times, or just want to recognize our own strength and ability. Whatever “making it through” means to you, we want you to know that we’re proud of you too.
To all Workhaus members who participated, we want to say: Thank you! Your answers have made this series possible, helping us start conversations, learn new things, and share ideas. We hope you’ve had some fun, learned something, and enjoyed this chance to reflect with the community.
