“When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die”

It’s Fri-YAY and in celebration of this long weekend, we thought it best to discuss some epic news in King’s Landing – sorry, in Toronto.

In wake of the highly anticipated final episode for Game of Thrones, Toronto has been blessed with a pop-up bar to celebrate the iron throne. Opening a few weeks back, Banners and Royalty is located at 1602 Dundas W, and is sure to be the new hot spot to discuss all things GoT.It seems like fantasy themed bars are all the rage in Toronto, especially after the success of the Harry Potter themed bar The Lockhart located at 1479 Dundas St W. The Lockhart opened its doors back in 2015 to the roar of applause from Potterheads and neighbourhood regulars alike. Now, the competition is heating up as Game of Thrones is moving in to take the crown.

Banners and Royalty comes with a full wall of weapons, dragon decor and GoT trivia nights every Monday. Something tells me that trivia at this bar will be on fire…see what we did there?Enjoy specialty drinks like the Ironborn or the official Game of Thrones wine, while getting that perfect selfie against the stone castle wall. Banners and Royalty will also play episodes from the show so we can all relive our favourite GoT lines.

“You know nothing Jon Snow.” Well…now he does.
