Workhaus Teams Up With Calgary Economic Development

On Friday night, Workhaus was a guest of Kari Gordon, Director Ecosystems Development & Exports at Calgary Economic Development.

After making our way through the festive Stampede grounds to the Grandstand, we were greeted by members of the Stampede Executive Committee. From there, we were giving an incredible behind the scenes tour of the Grandstand, its history, and all the work the goes into the rehearsals and preparation for the main show, “Trail Blazer”.

But this was only the beginning.

Workhaus was trackside to see the Chuck wagon races! It was such an incredible sight to watch the chaos of the opening bell, the jockeying for position and the overall race.After the eventful races, we made our way to the upper echelons of the Grandstand, to what is referred to as the Eye, in order to watch the main show.

Trail Blazer was an incredible blend of music, dance, acrobatics, lights and entertainment. We were very fortunate to see the opening night in all its grandeur.

All in all, Workhaus had an incredible inaugural experience at the 2019 edition of the Calgary Stampede!
