What has nearly two dozen musicians, treat bags, beer, and awesome costumes?
If you said the Spooky Beer and Music Jam Session that was recently held at our Kitchener-Waterloo location, you’d be right!
Back by popular demand after a series of Jam Sessions this past summer, the Spooky Jam Session was organized by Workhaus, Good Co Productions, and Downtown Kitchener and offered a bit of pre-Halloween vibes complete with decorations, costumes, and (of course) candy! The Beer and Music Jam series provides an open forum for local creatives to meet and jam out with instruments that we provide including some provided through the Kitchener Public Library’s instrument rental program. Some attendees also brought their own! Any and all musicians, music lovers, and passerby were encouraged to attend.
From incredible sax-solos to a harmonica playing mime (yes, you read that correctly), there was a little bit of everything to suit anyone’s musical tastes.
Plus, our friends at Descendants Brewing ensured that everyone had a cold, frothy beverage in hand throughout the night to wash down those pre-Halloween treats (no tricks were part of this event!).
“The Beer and Music Jam Sessions are not only great for the local community but it gives us an opportunity to use this unique and beautiful space to show that coworking isn’t just for those in tech or working on a start-up. Everyone is welcome in our spaces including those that are a part of a creative industry,” said Adam Mawer, Director of Workhaus Kitchener-Waterloo.
Stay tuned to news on the next Beer and Music Jam Session coming soon!
