What's Happening in The Haus?

In honour of our new Workhaus location at 215 Spadina, we toasted it to the neighbourhood the only way we knew how—with a massive haus warming. Workhaus partnered with NOW Toronto to bring something spectacular to the community: a powerhouse of Canadian talent.

With the Drake Hotel catering, Workhaus brought together three pillars of Canadian-made companies to unite the Toronto community under one haus.

Our space was the perfect arena for entrepreneurs, startups, small business owners, media agencies, you name it, to mingle and network. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres were provided, not just by the Drake Hotel, but by Ace Hill, Black Fly Beverages, and Georgian Spirits & Malivoire Wines. If guests weren’t chatting away, they were taking a tour of our offices. Our Spadina location operates out of The Robertson Building, a gorgeous open concept space with a brick and beam loft style layout. Spadina provides members with plenty of natural light, a grass wall that’s so very Instagrammable, and a rooftop patio to enjoy.

The party went on until all hours in the night as the DJ had people dancing the night away. Guests spent some time center stage, microphone in hand, singing (and sometimes rapping) their favourite songs. Workhaus Founder and CEO Adrian Joaquin flashed his rapping talents by performing Special Ed’s I’ve Got It Made. Never heard of it before? Neither did we. You know what people did belt out? The Backstreet Boys, as a group of guests got together to sing I Want It That Way.

Workhaus is so grateful to have partnered with such amazing companies. NOW Toronto provides the best source of media, entertainment and news in the city. Pick up a copy of NOW’s latest magazine and look for yours truly! Our ad is nestled right in there.

We’re honoured that they worked with us to create such a successful event; one that lasted until the wee hours of the night. Seriously, we were there until 1am.
