What's Happening in The Haus?

workhaus-runs-in-toronto-coporate-run-introLast night, Workhaus was one of the many Canadian companies to enter in the Toronto Corporate Run. This event took place after work to encourage team building and networking within Toronto’s community. The event has been going on for 37 years, so Workhaus was all too excited to participate this time around.

The Toronto Corporate Run is a 5k run (or in my case walk) that took off from the Ontario Place Grounds. Teams were given goodie bags, a meal, and even a beer ticket, courtesy of Steam Whistle.

Workhaus Founder and CEO, Adrian Joaquin led the pack representing the Haus in his Workhaus t-Shirt. The whole Workhaus team followed suit as we were all dressed head to toe in black with our Canadian Made Coworking tees.

We ran alongside some fantastic companies like Rogers, Orangetheory Fitness, Indigo and Desjardins just to name a few. And while it was great to let off some steam and network with the other teams, the Toronto Corporate Run also aimed to shine a light on their charity partnership with the CAMH Foundation. Their goal is to “break down stigma and discover the causes and cures for mental illness in Canada and around the world.”

The venue was packed with runners preparing for the campaign with a live band, stretching classes, and adorable dogs to accompany us for moral support.

But aside from that, the experience was a beautiful one, with the sunsetting as a backdrop for the run. It was the perfect weather for the perfect event with the perfect group of people.

See you next year.
